Weeks 1–2
Stance and movement
Build a stance you can hold under light pressure and learn the step-drag in four directions. Nothing else matters until you can move without losing your base.
Beginner pathway
A sequence that introduces skills in the order they build on each other. Move to the next stage when the current one feels automatic, not when the calendar says so.
Weeks 1–2
Build a stance you can hold under light pressure and learn the step-drag in four directions. Nothing else matters until you can move without losing your base.
Weeks 3–5
Jab and cross only, with an obsessive focus on the return path and on finishing every punch back in stance.
Weeks 5–7
Add blocking, catching and parrying, then the slip. Every defensive action gets a mandatory counter attached to it.
Weeks 7–10
Introduce hooks and uppercuts, which need close range and therefore need the defense from the previous stage to already exist.
Weeks 10–12
Build combinations with planned exits, add round-shaped conditioning, and begin controlled technical sparring under supervision.
Where to next
Once the pathway feels comfortable, work through a single category end to end.
